The drama depicts the growth and transformation of three "milk dads" from the post-70s, post-80s, and post-90s generations. Tao Yutong and Yu Zheng are a couple. As a lawyer, Tao Yutong loves and hates her honest husband, Yu Zheng, because of his unintentional mistakes, which strain their relationship and put their careers in jeopardy. When Tao Yutong moves out of their house, Yu Zheng decides to rent out his spare bedroom to alleviate the financial pressure and stimulate his wife, Tao Yutong. Xia Feng and Zhang Yinan move in as tenants, but unexpectedly, they also bring along an abandoned child. After trying various unreliable ideas and facing numerous setbacks, the three men decide to join forces and strive for the sake of the child's formula. The arrival of the child also brings improvement to the relationship between Yu Zheng and Tao Yutong, while Xia Feng and his lawyer girlfriend, Zou Nan, drift further apart. Zhang Yinan abandons his past bad habits and becomes reliable for the sake of the child. However, at this moment, the child's background sparks a series of lawsuits, pitting Zou Nan and Tao Yutong against each other in the courtroom.
